review of my views
Having won the HD video format war, sony will continue to fight its lost battle in the Flash-memory format war, God knows till when. But good that the latest Sony (ex - Konica Minolta) SLRs have the SD option too besides the usual suspect 'Pro Duo'.
Also good to see that Sony is pouring it heart out to break the SLR monopoly held by 'Canikon' or 'Nikanon'. Being stuck with Sony, given all the minolta lenses I own, I am glad to see that Sony today has emerged the fastest growing player in the SLR market. At a humble 11% it still has a long way to go given that Nikon and Canon are both at 40% + market share. But Sony has already made its intentions clear with the highest MP camera in the market, with the alpha-900 at 25+ mega pixels. Way to go Sony and keep up the good work.

Konica Minolta buy out..
The Konica Minolta buyout by Sony marks the end of a glorious era in the Photography World.
I am a completely satisfied Minolta customer but then I suppose the Photography industry runs by the blessings of the Pros and not by hobbyists like me.
However having owned the XD-5 (My dad's), Maxxum 3, Maxxum 5 and numerous lenses I must say Minolta brought some really great technology at affordable prices.
Waiting for a KM+Sony DSLR with KM SLR technology wedded to the CMOS sensors of Sony. I hope the forthcmoing KMS DSLR is a nobrainer for me (Having all Minolta AF lenses) but I pray that Sony does not release it with its own range of memories.
Cause those attempts to monopoly by Sony sucks, and it has also faced the blue fighting the mp3 format. Lets hope it learns from its mistakes.
